Katamari Damacy, in engrish, means “clump of souls". If you are one of those japanophile nerds, you know all about the game that
has somehow generated a black hole in my living room, into which all my
free time falls. If falling was what time did around a black hole. And
it doesn’t. How these games
manage to tap into the flowing vein of kid-essence inside us all, I’ll
never know. But my inner child has been sucker-punched more than once,
by the likes of Parappa, Space Channel 5, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, and Harvest Moon.
And now this. God, sometimes joy really gets in the way of a busy work week. These games force me to do wholly irresponsible things like eating bags of black jellybeans for dinner (I cannot overstate how bad this is for the intestinal tract), ordering BBQ Chicken pizza on a Wednesday, and beginning a headline exploration on anti-aging cream around 12:30am. |
